摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a vehicle capable of precisely determining the engagement state of a lock-up clutch to decide a belt transmission torque command value or adequately reducing engine output torque in a vehicle provided with a continuously variable transmission connected to an internal combustion engine via the clutch. <P>SOLUTION: In the controller for a vehicle provided with a belt type continuously variable transmission (CVT) connected to an internal combustion engine via a forward clutch of a forward/backward switching device 30, when the detected number of revolutions including rotating directions of the input shaft and those of the output shaft of the front clutch coincide, the front clutch is determined to be engaged (S12, S14), a belt transmission torque command value of the CVT is determined according to the determination result to reduce the output torque of the engine (S16 to S22). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
