The hygienic article has a protective cover (1) for completely enclosing and protecting the article, where the cover is in engagement with overlapping edges at a head side of the article. The cover is rotated to a side before using the article, where the side is turned away from a body. The cover is changed to an original position after using the article. The cover has adhesive strips (2, 3) for closing the cover such that the article is protected against contaminations before and after using the article, where the cover is made of elastic material.
