By introducing an inflating force-based energy function for the total energy, which oscillates based on iteration, the convergence properties of the parametrically closed surface v t along the object edge are lastingly improved. At the same time, the data-dependent energy function Eext(v t) is expanded with respect to the closed edge in the data on the basis of the Yukawa potential. In this way, an adaptation of the active contour to the object edge is possible more quickly and more accurately compared to the existing active contour methods.
