<p>The method involves diluting an emulsion with fuel oil present on an offshore platform or a floating production, storage and unloading unit (FPSO), before injecting a water-soluble polymer. The injected water-soluble polymer is in reverse emulsion. The fuel is injected into a polymer supply channel, in front of a polymer proportioning pump in the emulsion. A fuel oil/polymer mixture is proportioned by the polymer proportioning pump. The proportioned mixture is homogenized. The obtained homogenized mixture is finally injected into a transport pipe, at a production well header. The water-soluble polymer is made of an anionic polymer of 70-30 sodium acrylamide-acrylate with concentration of 30 percentage, and with molecular weight of 20 millions, in reverse emulsion.</p> |
