The plant has a generator (2) driven by a worm body (1), and brake resistors (8) connected with the generator in a gearless manner. The generator is connected with the worm body in a gearless manner. The brake resistors are dimensioned such that rotational speed of the worm body does not exceed a threshold value when a load is removed from a power network (5). A switching device (7) is provided to connect the generator with the resistors. A frequency converter (6) is connected between the generator and the network and forms a separation device separating the generator from the network. The generator is permanently excited generator, asynchronous generator, direct current generator and cascade generator. |
