<p>The method involves displaying an encoded datum in the form sequences of images (4) on a terminal screen (2). Each image represents a predetermined number of elementary encoding surfaces (S1-S5) having a color that varies on the basis of the encoded datum such that a portable device (5) including optical sensors (7a-7e) i.e. photosensitive sensors, detects the displayed image sequences for deriving the encoded data from the image sequences. The images with the elementary encoding surfaces having separate dimensions are displayed. The number of sensors is same as that of the encoding surfaces. An independent claim is also included for a device for transmitting data.</p> |
