Use of a herbicidal composition comprising at least one compound of the formula (II') or a salt thereof (see formula II') wherein R1 is CO-(C1-C4-alkoxy), R2 is CH2-NHR e, where R e is an acyl radical, R3 is H or C1-C4-alkyl, X and Y independently of one another are identical or different and are C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C6-alkoxy or C1-C6-alkylthio which are unsubstituted or substituted by one or more of a halogen atom, C1-C4-alkoxy or C1-C4alkylthio, or wherein X and Y independently of one another are identical or different and are C3-C6-cycloalkyl, C2-C6-alkenyl, C2-C6-alkynyl, C3-C6-alkenyloxy or C3-C6-alkynyloxy, and Z is CH or N, for controlling Bromus plants.
