PURPOSE: A method for controlling multimedia stream for providing multimedia service mobility in a home network environment and a device thereof are provided to change a set value of searched connection tracing of a reference file, thereby effectively performing switching in real time of multimedia stream. CONSTITUTION: A service mobility support server agent(104) searches connection trace reference file to switch multimedia stream within a home network between terminals in real time. The service mobility support server agent changes a set value of the connection trace reference file. If information of a binding table(101) is changed, the service mobility support server agent controls requesting, switching, or completing multimedia streaming service according to information change type of the binding table.
