PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF SODIUM BICARBONATE

The invention relates to chemical industry. A process for preparation of sodium bicarbonate comprises the treatment of ammonium sulphate with sodium chloride in the presence of sodium bicarbonate with separation of produced ammonium chloride from a mixture of sodium sulphate with sodium bicarbonate with processing of ammonium chloride to calcium chloride to prepare a gas mixture: ammonia and carbon dioxide, which is used for treatment of the mixture of sodium sulphate and sodium bicarbonate with obtaining mixture of sodium bicarbonate and ammonium sulphate, from which up to 50 % of crystal sodium bicarbonate is separated, and mother solution – mixture of ammonium sulphate and sodium bicarbonate – is returned into the process. The use of the invention allows not to use cold for separation of components and to carry out the process in chemical reactors.
