METHOD FOR ESTIMATING EXTENT OF DEMYELINIZATION AND BRAIN ATROPHY IN PATIENTS WITH MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS ACCORDING TO RESULTS OF EXAMINATION WITH LOW-TESLA MRT

A method for estimating the extent of demyelinization and brain atrophy in the patients with multiple sclerosis according to the results of examination with low-Tesla MRT comprises the analysis of MRT images. The parameters of the liquor space, the sizes of the heads of caudate nuclei and hippocampus are measured. The focal load and brain atrophy are assessed. Finally, the extent of focal load and external and internal brain atrophy are estimated.
