The object has a decorative frame constituted of a front part forming a table top (2), and a rear part (1) fixed against a receiving barrier e.g. wall or partition, where an element i.e. mirror, having decorative effect is arranged in the frame. The front part and the rear part are articulated with respect to one another by a pivoting rod (4) and another pivoting rod, and are made of solid wood and/or synthetic material. The pivoting rods are connected together by a bar (7) to form a rigid assembly. The table top has a working surface that is coated with an adhesive decorative film. An independent claim is also included for a method for unfolding a transformable decorative mural object.
