PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oily solid cosmetic having an extremely excellent shape retaining property, stability, makeup lasting quality and feeling of use in response to conventional circumstances such that preparation of the oily solid cosmetic having the excellent shape retaining property and feeling of use is a strong demand from the market, and many endeavors for research and development have been made. SOLUTION: A highly stable wax is created by using a readily available sunflower wax, and further highly purifying the sunflower wax by a method such as adsorption. The oily solid cosmetic having the high shape retaining property and good makeup lasting quality is created without deteriorating the excellent feeling of use by using the resultant wax.
