PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein, when ink on a sheet of paper having an image formed thereon is dried by heating, an image density is changed to cause a degradation of an image quality. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with: a temperature sensor 521 for detecting an atmospheric temperature of a recording head 51; a heater 200 for heating and drying a sheet of paper 10 on which an image is formed by the recording head 51; heater temperature sensors 522a to 522f for detecting the temperatures of the heater 200; and a head driving controller 508 which corrects a driving voltage to drive the recording head 51 according to the atmospheric temperature detected by the temperature sensor 521 and the temperatures of the heater 200 detected by the heater temperature sensors 522a to 522f, and drives the recording head 51.
