PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve inconvenience of conventional eating utensils with which a user cannot acquire the temperature of food till bringing the food to the mouth. SOLUTION: The eating utensil includes a food temperature detecting mechanism. Alternatively, this eating utensil may be a spoon-shaped eating utensil having the food temperature detecting mechanism, or a chop-stick-shaped eating utensil having the food temperature detecting mechanism. In regard to foods with high fluidity, this eating utensil may be a straw-shaped eating utensil having the food temperature detecting mechanism, or feeding-cup-shaped eating utensil having the food temperature detecting mechanism.
