PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain automated settlement of merchandises whose prices vary according to its weight, without using any device for writing weight information in an IC tag. SOLUTION: The automated settlement system is provided with: an IC tag 50 attached to a dish 60 in which unique ID is written so as to be read; a weight measurement unit 20 which measures the weight of merchandise 70; a management server 30, which registers the price per unit weight of the merchandise 70 in a database 31, a unique ID written in the IC tag 50 attached to the merchandise 70, and the weight of the merchandise 70, measured by the weight measurement unit 20 made to be associated; an IC tag read device 10b which reads the unique ID from the IC tag 50; and a POS register 40, which performs settlement with a price calculated, based on the price per unit weight of the merchandise 70 and the weight of the merchandise 70 registered in the database 31 in association with the unique ID read by the IC tag reading device 10b.
