<p>Electric power supplied by an alternating-current power supply (1) is used as the input of a rectification circuit (2), and the output of the rectification circuit (2) is used as the input of a smoothing capacitor (3) having small capacitance that is about one hundredth of commonly used capacitance. The capacitor (3) is provided between a positive electrode node (NA) and a negative electrode node (NB) in buses of the output of the rectification circuit (2). Diodes (13u, 13v, 13w) which serve as a rectification circuit (13) are respectively connected with the phase outputs of an inverter (4). The rectification circuit (13) is connected to the negative electrode node (NB) via a capacitor (14). The rectification circuit (13) is connected in such a manner that an electric current flows only in the direction from the output of the inverter (4) to the capacitor (14). A load (12) is connected in parallel with the capacitor (14).</p> |
