The disclosed input device comprises: a detection unit that detects as detection data the movement in a human body occurring as a result of tapping the body of a user; and an input information identification unit that refers to detection data, identifies the tap position on the basis of changes in the detection data according to the tap position, and outputs an operation command corresponding to the identified tap position. In addition to eliminating the need for a user to get out an input device when performing an input operation to a mobile electronic device, the input device simplifies the input operation by the user.
