<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate labels from a carrier web reliably. <P>SOLUTION: A label printer includes: a transporting roller configured to transport carrier web; a label separating portion disposed downstream of the transporting roller and used to kink the transported carrier web; an openable-and-closable cover pivotally mounted; and a pressure roller supported on the openable-and-closable cover and pressed against the transporting roller, sandwiching the carrier web sandwiched between the web and the roller, downstream of the label separating portion when the openable-and-closable cover is closed, so that the carrier web is taut between the label separating portion and pressure roller in conjunction with the operation of closing the openable-and-closable cover. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
