<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording technology that carries out OPC (Optimum Power Control) in a data region and prevent recording capacity from being reduced. <P>SOLUTION: An information recording device executing OPC processing so that each region in which recording is performed with recording power changed stepwise has substantially uniform reflectance upon OPC processing includes: a means acquiring information associating a pulse width of a recording signal upon OPC processing with a target value of reflectance change before and after recording of the recorded region with the recording signal; a means performing OPC processing on the data recorded region of a loaded information recording medium with the pulse width of the acquired recording signal, and measuring reflectance of the regions subjected to OPC processing and a non-recorded region; and a means searching for recording power that matches the obtained target value of reflectance change as the optimum recording power, based on the measured reflectance in the regions and the reflectance in the non-recorded region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
