<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that suppresses deposition of a toner component on the surface of an image carrier compared to the case where the image carrier and the toner are not used. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an image carrier which has at least a photosensitive layer on a substrate and of which the topmost surface contains fluororesin particles and a rein including a structural unit represented by the following general formula (A); a charging device which charges the image carrier; a latent image forming device which forms an electrostatic latent image by exposing the charged image carrier; a toner image forming device which forms a toner image by developing the electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier by a developer including toner which contains a binder resin having a melting point of 60-90°C and a colorant; a transfer device which transfers the toner image formed on the image carrier to a body to be transferred; and a removal member which removes deposits of the surface of the image carrier. In general formula (A), R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each independently a halogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl group, a 5-7C cycloalkyl group, or a 6-12C aryl group; and a and b are each independently an integer of 0-4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
