<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device which can obtain excellent viewing angle characteristics with smaller number of diffusion films, and to provide electronic equipment including the electrooptical device. <P>SOLUTION: The electrooptical device 1 holds an electrooptical material 12 between a pair of substrates 10, 11 arranged to be opposed.
