<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin aqueous dispersion capable of forming a resin film excellent in film performance, especially hydrolysis resistance, by being applied on various substrates. <P>SOLUTION: The polyester resin aqueous dispersion simultaneously satisfies the following (i), (ii), (iii), and (iv). (i) The polyester resin aqueous dispersion is obtained by dispersing a polyester resin, which is obtained by the blend of an alcohol component and an acid component, in an aqueous medium. (ii) In the total alcohol component constituting the polyester resin in (i), 1-15 mol% of polyalkylene glycol having a molecular weight of 500-4,500 and represented by formula (I) is contained, wherein in formula (I), n and m are integers satisfying n=2-36 and m=1-200, respectively. (iii) In the total acid component constituting the polyester resin in (i), 50-100 mol% of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid is contained.
