<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment method of highly decomposing urea in raw water, and suppressing outflow of organisms (cells) in biological treatment to the downstream side thereof, and a process for producing ultrapure water. <P>SOLUTION: In the water treatment method of biologically treating raw water containing urea, a carbon source is added to the raw water and then the raw water is passed through biological treating means 1, 2 having fixed beds of an organic carrier for biological treatment. The biological treatment after adding a carbon source to the raw water increases the urea decomposing and removing efficiency. Use of the fixed bed of the organism carrier for the biological treating means suppresses outflow of the cells downstream. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
