A vacuum cleaner comprises a device for dispensing atomised liquid, the device having a reservoir 18 for holding liquid 17 and an ultrasonic transducer 22 5 arranged to atomise the liquid 17 in the reservoir 18. An airflow is created through the reservoir 18 via the exhaust gasflow from the vacuum cleaner, the airflow carrying the atomised liquid via an elongate tube 20 to dispensing outlet 28 provided on a cleaning head 11 of the vacuum cleaner.
