PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the energy utilization efficiency of a vessel without increasing the scale of a system.

SOLUTION: An exhaust heat collection silencer system includes a casing (silencer body) 80 provided in a part of an exhaust passage for discharging the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine, and a heat exchanger for exchanging heat with the exhaust gas inside the casing 80. The direction of the overall flow of a heat-exchanging heat medium flowing through a heat-exchanging line (heat exchanger) 86 is from downstream to upstream of the direction of flow of the exhaust gas.
