DIPEPTIDE DERIVED FROM CLADOSIPHON OKAMURANUS, L-ISOLEUCYL-L-TRIPTOPHAN AND ANTIANGIOGENIC AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dipeptide derived from Cladosiphon okamuranus having antiangiogenic activity from a protein which is extracted from the essence of Cladosiphon okamuranus. SOLUTION: A protein derived from Cladosiphon okamuranus is obtained by extracting a dried powder of Cladosiphon okamuranus with a weakly alkaline aqueous solution and then by ethanol fractionation. This peptide derived from Cladosiphon okamuranus is L-isoleucyl-L-triptophan and obtained by cutting the protein in peptide chains and by isolation refining with a reversed-phase HPLC.
