PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tetrazine derivative stable to atmosphere and light, and exhibiting n type semiconductor characteristics by using thereof as a semiconductor layer in an organic transistor element. SOLUTION: The tetrazine derivative represented by general formula (1) (wherein, R1to R5each independently represents a hydrogen atom, fluorine atom or trifluoromethyl group, with the proviso that R1to R5are not simultaneously hydrogen atoms) is produced.
