The method involves inserting a slat lower part (1) and retainers (3) into a press device, where the slat lower part is engaged with a projection (4) by the retainers. The retainers are aligned and fixed by an alignment unit of the press device with respect to the press device. A slat upper part (8) is provided on the lower part. An adhesive is applied between the upper and lower parts and the retainers. The upper part is aligned by another alignment unit of the press device with respect to the press device. The upper and lower parts are injected against each other by the press device. An independent claim is also included for a wind slat for being secured in a region at an upper edge of a windscreen of an open passenger car by retainers.
