The method involves varying distribution of drive torque on individual vehicle wheels by an electronic control unit. An apex of a currently driven track curve is registered on the unit. Another distribution of drive torque between the vehicle wheels is adjusted while driving in the track curve. The apex is registered again when a vehicle is driven on the curve such that combination of changes of measured variables is determined, where an increased steering angle at a steering wheel of the vehicle and increased lateral acceleration of the vehicle are decreased to a certain level.
