<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve travel performance during reverse travel of a hybrid vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: When a hybrid vehicle travels reversely by power from a motor MG2 in a state where a battery should compulsorily be charged by electric power from a motor MG1 for generating power using power from an engine, execution of a compulsory charge of the battery 50 is released (Steps S124 to S126, S135, S145, S150 to S180) on condition that an accelerator opening Acc indicating a degree of driving power request by a driver is less than a predetermined opening Aref and the remaining capacity SOC of the battery 50 is not less than a predetermined compulsory charging start value S0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
