摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system easily acquiring information on an additional device required for services becoming available through monitoring and controlling device operations.

SOLUTION: The information providing system is equipped with: a controller 1 including an application storage unit 1g for storing an application for providing a predetermined service, an application execution unit 1h for executing the application, and a device configuration collection unit 1c for collecting device configuration information on each installed device X1; an external server 3 including a correspondence information storage unit 3d storing application correspondence information representing a correspondence relationship between a combination of devices and an executable application; an additional information generation unit 3g for generating additional device information on an additional device required to be added indoors in order to execute a first application that cannot be executed when using only the installed device X1; and a display device 2 with a display screen 2d installed indoors for presenting the additional device information.
