ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT DEVICE, DISPLAY DEVICE, AND LIGHTING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device material for exhibiting particularly-small-wavelength light emission, high luminous efficiency, and long emission life, and to provide an organic EL device, a lighting apparatus and a display device using the organic EL device material.

SOLUTION: This organic EL device includes at least one layer of a light emitting layer sandwiched between an anode and a cathode. In the organic EL device, the light emitting layer contains at least one kind of a compound being a transition element complex having a ligand including a specific partial structure.
