PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film for a capacitor low in relative permittivity and dielectric loss tangent, and high in withstand voltage; a method for producing a film for a capacitor, and a capacitor. SOLUTION: This film for a capacitor comprises a crystalline polyester, and includes voids inside in a state not exposed to the surface. The shortest distance (a) from the center of the void to the surface of the film for a capacitor, and the average thickness (b) of the film for a capacitor satisfy the relation of a/b≥0.01.
