PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, etc. capable of suppressing the occurrence of a harmonic current and the occurrence of a beat sound of a coil by reducing the time for performing phase control, while suppressing a flicker. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus for heat-fixing a toner image on a paper by using a fixing roller heated by a fixing roller heating means to which a current is supplied to generate heat, when the difference of power values supplied to the fixing roller heating means at a plurality of times in the past is within a predetermined range, a control means controlling the supply of the current to the fixing roller heating means controls the supply of the current in such a manner that the control period of cut-off control is prolonged so as to supply the power value supplied at the last time to the fixing roller heating means.
