PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying roller for smoothly conveying a paper sheet while preventing gloss unevenness in conveying the paper sheet after fixing. SOLUTION: The conveying roller 27b used for conveying a paper sheet after fixing includes: a first cylindrical part 100 having a groove 110 on its surface; a second cylindrical part 102 having the same outer diameter as the first cylindrical part 100 and provided on the same rotary shaft having a groove 110 on its surface; and a third cylindrical part 104 having the same outer diameter as the first cylindrical part 100 and the second cylindrical part 102, provided on the same rotary shaft, and having a smooth surface formed between the first cylindrical part 100 and the second cylindrical part 102.
