PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device having superior fuel consumption rate and capable of executing the re-circulation of a large volume of exhaust emission. SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device of a gasoline engine 1 in which a part of the exhaust emission G from an engine exhaust path is circulated to an engine intake path includes a plasma fuel reformer 17 capable of generating reformed gas containing H<SB>2</SB>by the plasma discharge of the fuel F, and supplying the reformed gas in a cylinder 7 via an intake manifold 6.
