<p>A mount for a safety device for use in association with a medical needle 0projecting from a generally cylindrical carrier (12) having three or four circumferentially-spaced ribs (15) upstanding from and extending substantially parallel to the axis of the carrier. The mount has a tubular support (17) including a wall (19) having a central aperture (22) through which the carrier extends when in use with the wall lying in a substantially radial plane with respect to the carrier. The aperture (22) is profiled to surround the carrier (12) and has recesses (23) for receiving the carrier ribs (15). Portions (24) of the wall (19) defining the aperture (22) and recesses (23) engage the ribs (15) of the carrier, with an interference fit between the ribs of the carrier and adjacent wall parts.</p> |
