The method for extrusion of foamed plates made of polystyrene, comprises mixing the molten polystyrene in an extruder, so that the molten polystyrene causes a foaming of the melt after discharging the melt from the extruder. A hydro-fluoro-olefin is used as propellent, where the propellent portion of the hydro-fluoro-olefin is 5-12 wt.% related to the entire used mixture for the extrusion. The total propellent quantity is 15 wt.% related to the entire used mixture for the extrusion. Water and/or carbon dioxide are admixed as co-propellent for adjusting the cell size of the polystyrene foam. Water and/or carbon dioxide are admixed as co-propellent for adjusting the cell size of the polystyrene foam foamed with hydro-fluoro-olefin. The water portion is 0-2 wt.% related to the entire used mixture for the extrusion. The carbon dioxide portion is 0-2 wt.% related to the entire used mixture for the extrusion. Acetone is admixed as co-propellent for improving the solubility of the propellent in the melt, where the acetone portion is 0-2 wt.% related to the entire used mixture for the extrusion. A talk is used as nucleating agent, where the talk portion is 0-2 wt.% related to the entire used mixture for the extrusion. An independent claim is included for a method for producing a foamed plate. |
