<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical switch, according to which crosstalk dose not occur when switching an optical transmission channel. <P>SOLUTION: The optical switch includes a multiple-stage optical-switch means that includes one optical input port 11 and a plurality of optical output ports 13 that are configured by connecting multiple stages of optical switching elements 10 each of which includes three or more optical input-output ports 12, and a switching control circuit 20 that, when receiving an instruction for switching an output destination of light input from the optical input port 11, executes first control that changes the setting of an optical switching element 10 that constitutes a part not overlapping with an optical transmission channel leading to an optical output port 13 before switching in an optical transmission channel leading to an optical output port 13 after switching and is positioned at a point other than a branch point from an overlapping part, and then executes second control that changes the setting of an optical switching element 10 that is positioned at the branch point. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
