PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear power plant with a boiling water reactor, capable of decreasing the radiation dose to a turbine system by reducing the transfer of N-16 to the turbine system. SOLUTION: In the nuclear power plant with a boiling water reactor, madreporic bodies carrying a material that captures radioactive nitride (N-16) are set up in a region passed by the steam inside a steam drier 4 mounted inside a reactor pressure vessel in the nuclear power plant. To give an example, straightening vanes 7 and/or 10 included in the steam drier 4 include the madreporic bodies carrying the material that captures the N-16. As the N-16 is captured when the steam containing N-16 passes the straightening vanes 7 and 10, the quantity of the N-16 transferring to the turbine system is decreased. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
