PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-inflammatory pharmaceutical preparation for chewing having excellent stability of a medical effect such as excellent storage stability with no denaturation or degradation of a medicinal ingredient even after long time storage while being left in standard home, meanwhile sodium azulene sulfonate serving as a medicinal component tends to be denatured and degraded by heat, light, and moisture/oxygen in the air, the medicinal ingredient being gradually released in the mouth by chewing, staying in the mouth for a long period of time and being brought into contact with an affected part for a long period of time to particularly exhibit, mainly, an anti-inflammatory effect on an affected part in the mouth. SOLUTION: The anti-inflammatory pharmaceutical preparation for chewing includes a gum base which continuously maintains a soft and flexible form without being separated into small pieces during chewing and is to be spit out of the mouth after chewing, and sodium azulene sulfonate which is dispersed uniformly and buried in the gum base, present in a state being blocked from light and oxygen and moisture in the air, gradually released in the mouth with saliva by chewing and directly brought into contact with an inflammatory affected part in the mouth to exhibit an anti-inflammatory effect.
