PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic cleaning apparatus for washing an alkaline ink that is incorporated into the recessed part of a roller and fixed. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic cleaning apparatus washes the alkaline ink that is adhered at the bottom of the recessed part of a material 7 (roller) to be washed with the maximum effect by irradiating ultrasonic vibration from an ultrasonic element 1 to a liquid in a nozzle chamber 4 through a vibration plate 2 which is in contact with the ultrasonic element 1 to produce an ultrasonic washing liquid and by maintaining the material 7 to be washed to a constant distance of an integer multiple of 1/2 of one wave length from the vibration plate 2 in accordance with frequency at the ultrasonic washing liquid within the nozzle chamber 4.
