PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pump that is made lightweight while increasing pump efficiency. SOLUTION: The fuel pump 10 includes a pump casing 24 defining a pump chamber 26 into which fuel flows, and an impeller 30 housed in the pump chamber 26 and driven to rotate, the impeller 30 having a plurality of vane grooves 36 aligned in a rotation direction Dr and boosting the pressure of fuel flowing into the pump chamber 26, as fuel is repeatedly caused to flow in and out between the vane grooves 36 during rotation. The impeller 30 includes a resin body 300 made from resin, with each vane groove 36 open to axial end faces 303, 304 axially facing the interior wall surfaces 20a, 22a of the pump chamber 26, and a metal coating 310 made of metal and covering the axial end faces 303, 304 of the resin body 300 at least between the vane grooves 36.
