PIGMENT FOR OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM AND OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pigment, for an optical information recording medium, which can make an In-Groove recording, using short wavelength laser beams (405 nm) like an organic BD-R, and also, can obtain successful recording characteristics with high sensitivity, as well as an optical information recording medium.

SOLUTION: This optical information recording medium uses azo-metallic complex pigment of a specific structure shown in the formula as a recording layer material. In the formula, Y+is a tertiary amine or a quarternary ammonium; R2is an electron attractive substituting group; R3is an alkyl ether, an aromatic(aryl) ether or an arylamino group.
