<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar-code reading device capable of decoding a bar code with high accuracy, from a bar-code image of low resolution, and to provide a bar-code reading method. <P>SOLUTION: The bar code reader includes a scanning data generating unit for generating a plurality of pieces of scanning data of the bar code; a high resolution image processing unit for generating one data sequence of resolution higher than the respective resolutions of the plurality of pieces of scanning data, on the basis of the plurality of pieces of scanning data; and a decoding unit for decoding that decodes the information of the bar code from the data sequence generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
