PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-output power amplifier capable of preventing reduction in output power which is synthesized and output, and suppressing expansion in device size when faults occur in some of a plurality of unit amplifiers connected in parallel. SOLUTION: A distribution circuit 3 distributes an input wave from an input terminal 1. Each unit amplifier 4 has a power amplification circuit 9, circulators 10 and 11 provided before and behind the power amplification circuit, further, a fault detection circuit 12 and a drain voltage control circuit 13. If the fault detection circuit 12 detects a fault in one unit amplifier 4, a control circuit 8 commands the drain voltage control circuit 13 of another unit amplifier 4 to change a drain voltage, and the drain voltage control circuit 13 changes the drain voltage, thereby preventing power reduction in an output wave.
