PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, when a photographer does not memorize the place of photography or when the place of photography is specified but is not useful for specifying a digital photograph, a target photograph may not be found. SOLUTION: A digital photograph data processing apparatus has: a first memory for storing at least photography location information and photography date/time information of digital photograph data; a second memory for storing event information specified by using location range information indicating the range of a location where an event is held and date/time range information indicating the range of a date/time when the event is held; an extraction unit for extracting the event information based on the photography location information and the photography date/time information; and an associating unit for associating the extracted event information with the digital photograph data stored in the first memory to store them.
