PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the interruption of a reading operation even in a case that a memory capacity of an image memory in a scanner device becomes a state not enough for processing. SOLUTION: The scanner device 5 is provided with a reading condition setting unit 30 which acquires setting information regarding to setting for reading documents, an image data information acquisition unit 26 which acquires a data amount of image data, a communication information acquisition unit 22 which acquires communication capability information regarding to the capability of communication to transmit compressed image data, and a compression rate calculation unit 28 which calculates the compression rate so that a transmitting data amount in a predetermined time exceeds a reading data amount in the predetermined time based on the setting information, the data amount, and the communication capability information.
