PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a hollow fiber membrane module which dispenses with a large-size apparatus and dispenses with terminal treatment of a hollow fiber membrane in forming a sealing portion, and can obtain a desired thickness and a sealing resin portion with good workability and can perform sealing without the turbulence of a sealed surface. SOLUTION: A large number of hollow fiber membranes 1 with the sealing resin portion 12a formed integrally with a hollow fiber membrane 11a by winding a linear material 2 made of a thermoplastic sealing resin whose melting temperature is equal to or lower than the decomposition temperature or melting temperature of the hollow fiber membrane 11a around the hollow fiber membrane 11a are inserted into a container body 3a in a state where the sealing resin portions 12a are bunched so as to be brought into close contact with each other. The linear material 2 is melted, and the melted sealing resin is filled between the hollow fiber membranes 11a and between the hollow fiber membrane 11a and the container body 3a and then hardened.
