PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device white display with a simple configuration by utilizing a color development mechanism by a structure color at a low cost. SOLUTION: The display device is equipped with: a pressurizing member for elastically deforming a base material by pressurizing a color tone change sheet material utilizing the color development mechanism by the structure color to a transparent plate side deforming the color tone change sheet material in the thickness direction; a first deformation allowing member provided between the color tone change sheet material and the pressurizing member; and a translucent second deformation allowing member provided between a transparent plate and the color tone change sheet material. The first deformation allowing member and the second deformation allowing member allow the free deformation of the color tone change sheet material when the color tone change sheet material is pressurized by the pressurizing member.
